Roberto Wernikoff

Systems Technology Engineer with specialization in Marketing and Business MBA.

25 years experience in systems implementation and consulting in Brazil, Israel, Mexico, United States and Canada.

Almost 10 years supporting La Gaviota for the pleasure of seeing the smiles of the children at the end of each school year, and the love and affection of the teachers, therapists, dads, moms and all the staff of our Center.

He currently serves as President of the Board of La Gaviota since 2017.

Marcos Escobar Fernández de la Vega

Marcos Escobar Fernández de la Vega

He is Vice President at Mastercard, and has a career path that combines the corporate, entrepreneurial and academic sectors. In his professional experience, he has held a leadership position at Grupo Posadas, Impulso-Grupo Empresarial and Mastercard.

Additionally, he has more than 8 years of consulting experience at McKinsey & Co., ITAM’s Center for Competitiveness Studies and Mastercard. As an entrepreneur, he owned and operated two franchises of Laboratorio Médico Polanco.

And at the Academy, he has been a professor for more than 20 years, full-time and by subject teacher, as well as Director of the Center for Senior Management in Engineering and Technology at Universidad Anáhuac México. With La Gaviota IAP, it has been part of the Patronage for almost 20 years.

His academic background is an Engineer from ITESM, and he holds Master’s and Doctorate degrees from MIT, as well as a post-doctorate at Tulane University.

José Alfredo Reynoso Arana

José Alfredo Reynoso Arana

Alfredo Reynoso has participated in the Board of La Gaviota I.A.P. since 2003. He has held different roles, including President of the Institution from 2014 to 2017.

He is Industrial Engineer from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey ITESM and has a Master’s degree in Business from the Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts.

In his professional life, he has more than 20 years of experience, the vast majority in business development in the hospitality industry, having worked for major national and international hotel companies. He is currently Development Director for Hyatt Hotels in México.

Alejandro Noriega Besga

Alejandro Noriega Besga

Alejandro Noriega is General Director of Organizational Development for Grupo BAL, among his responsibilities is coordinating talent management and development initiatives throughout the Group, previously since 2006 he served as Director of Human Resources for GNP, the largest company in insurance in Mexico. He has an experience in Human Resources of more than 20 years in organizations from different Economic Sectors.

He has been a leader in the application of change processes, transformation programs and in different practices on compensation, organizational development and performance management, in order to consolidate his own culture that is a differentiator in the market.

He have degree in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Master in Administration from the same university. In addition, he has been a member of the board of directors of the Mexican Association of Human Resources (AMEDIRH). In 2014, he received the Executive of the Year award for his passion and commitment to the human resources function.

He served as President of La Gaviota from 1997 to 2005, where he created the basis for the Institution to have social and financial sustainability to date.

Carlos Alberto Sanchez Vega

Carlos Alberto Sánchez Vega

He is a member of the Board of La Gaviota IAP since 1996 and its president from 2005 to 2014. He studied a degree in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana, a master’s degree in Political Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de  México and doctoral studies from the University of Newport, Cal.

Executive in areas of vice presidency, general direction and direction of News, Programming and Production at various public and private, national and US television stations and institutions; founding partner of the Cinemás -cinema complex- and founding partner and president of Caaliope Communications SA de CV.

National Award for thesis awarded by the Government of Mexico 1988. Vice President of the Mexican Council of Dubbing Companies since 2018. Member of the Board of Ernesto Meneses Foundation of Univceesidad Iberoamericana since 2014.

Joaquin Terrazas

Joaquín Terrazas

He is currently Director of the Mexican Association of Shared Service Centers and Business Process Operators; Director of the Specialized Group of Consultants and Trainers of the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Mexico City; independent consultor; Contributor to Espacio Empresarial and the magazine Consultoría. Industrial Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Senior Management and Diplomas in Administration, Strategy and Technology from UVM, IPADE, ITESM, Wharton and UC Berkeley. Certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI), by the Ministry of Economy and by the National Council for Standardization and Certification of Labor Competencies (Conocer).

He has 27 years of experience in the areas of technology, administration and logistics, and Shared Service Centers and Outsourcing in various industries. He has directed projects in Mexico, USA, Central and South America for national and international organizations such as SHCP, KPMG, Accenture, IBM, Posadas, Modelo, Gerdau, Bimbo, Mahle, Goldcorp, Laureate, Veolia, Axxa and Gepp (Pepsi), among others .

He has participated as associate professor and invited professor at the Bachelor and Master levels and lectured at various organizations and universities such as  Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad Anáhuac, Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, Cámara de Comercio, and the Shared Services and Outsourcing Network, in México and the United States.
